I can always turn to Rumi when I'm looking for a quote to uplift and inspire. This tiny book features an etched bird on the front and a beautiful aquamarine set in cloud-like scalloped fine silver bezel. There is a small, naturally occurring inclusion in the aquamarine "window" (don't worry, it's not a crack!) which provides a slightly distorted view to the words hidden below the cover: Etched with the poem
"Your hand opens and closes, opens and closes. If it were always a fist or always stretched open, you would be paralysed*.
Your deepest presence is in every small contracting and expanding, the two as beautifully balanced and coordinated as birds' wings."
Pendant measures just about 1.75" long (including bail) and 1" wide on a 22" textured cable chain with handmade clasp.
