A few weeks ago, my therapist asked how I’m feeling about the holiday season. I was already stressed, and it wasn’t even mid-November.

This year has been full of twists: I had work featured on CNN’s “19 of the most unique gifts…” list, which brought a wonderful wave of unexpected orders right as I was preparing for one big shop update. Good stress… but still stress.

I haven’t released a full new collection since May. That stresses me out. I haven’t written to you since May either, and that stresses me out too. I’m still working nonstop—custom requests, Uncommon Goods orders, and pieces that feel especially meaningful right now—but it’s not what I had planned.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that plans derail, and anxiety follows. So I’m trying to manage the stress by focusing on what I can control: my reactions. I run. I sleep. I drink water. I choose seltzer over cocktails (sometimes). I ease up on myself.

New work is coming soon. My goal is to have most of it live on Monday, November 29th. I may release a few pieces gradually through early December, and I’ll send short updates so you don’t miss anything.
