Want to learn from a world renowned artist?
I know I do! But since I don't know any personally, let me invite you to the next best thing: A retreat with me at Ghost Ranch, home of World Renowned artist Georgia O'Keeffe! (ok, ok I actually DO know a world renowned artist, and lucky for you and for me, she is co-teaching this retreat! Lesley Riley has not only organized this magical experience, she is in "world renowned artist" territory as a published author, educator and artist extraordinaire. If you saw my last email about Ghost Ranch and were kind of on the fence, vacillating on whether to make the investment, I'm here to gently gently push you right that fence and into Hell Yes territory. I wish I had better, more descriptive words to tell you about the magic of Ghost Ranch and Abiquiu New Mexico. It's truly a once in a lifetime experience. (I've been fortunate enough to have had a twice and soon to be thrice in a lifetime experience there because the location touched me in a way that few places have, meaning I made getting back a priority!)
In the class, you'll learn to make an etched metal book cover (I'll be teaching that portion!) Then Lesley will treat us to all sorts of fun and artistic ways to decorate the pages. We'll use the beauty of the surroundings to inspire us. You will have the option to book an early morning horseback ride through the picturesque hills and by Georgia's former home and studio. Or you could take an early morning paddle on Lake Abiquiu. You're also free to explore the grounds by foot on various hiking trails. Whatever you choose, simply waking up, walking outside and seeing the majesty surrounding is a treat I invite you to give yourself.
There are only a few spaces left (5 last I checked) so I don't want you to miss out. You can bring a pal and room together, or go solo and throw your clothes all over the place! Whatever you choose, I can't wait to spend time with you in one of my favorite places on earth.
