Do you remember the schoolgirl days of asking a daisy for love advice? You'd pull a petal- "he loves me". Pull another-"he loves me not". And on and on until the flower was plucked clean. The tragedy of ending with "he loves me not", the giddy excitement and hope of the last petal begin "he loves me"!
Today, I prefer to keep petals securely attached to their flowers, and am more interested in seeing how much love I can put out into the world, rather than asking a flower if I am loved or not. I know I am.
But it's still nice to have a reminder- that you are loved- and that you are full of love to give. Let all those negative "nots" fall away.
"I open and fill with love. And what is not love evaporates" . ~Rumi
