Georgia O'Keefe was often more salty than sweet. Nothing of an enigma, she was blunt, to the point, and often indelicate in her interactions with others. She didn't hold back on her opinions, didn't take "no" for an answer, and didn't mind burning a bridge or two.
But she also didn't hold back on following her desires and going after her dreams. She lived the life she wanted to live.
Sometimes, I worry more about being "nice" than pursuing my own dreams, so this quote resonated with me. Of course, I'll continue to be nice, but I'll also call on the nerve I need to live my best life!
