On July 10, 2023, the state of Vermont was hit with a catastrophic flooding event. The capital city of Montpelier was one of many Vermont towns that was absolutely devastated by the flood. Homes, restaurants, businesses, farms, livestock, pets and roads were completely destroyed by raging waters. As the flood waters recede and damages are assessed, this small state needs your help.
Please help me in raising funds to support various local and statewide disaster recovery resources. 40% of the sale of these pieces will be donated. The following organizations are in my list:
Vermont Disaster Recovery Fund VDRF
Northeast Organic Farming Association of Vermont NOFA-VT
Vermont Disaster Animal Relief Team VDART
and various go-fund-me pages for local families and businesses.
(If you have a particular charity you would like your donation to go to, please send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Otherwise, donations will be divided among the different organizations listed above)
Perhaps you don't have any ties to Vermont, and don't want an outline of the state, but you do want to support victims of this tragedy. These umbrella charms represent the kindness of small gestures- sharing your umbrella with someone on a rainy day. Such a small act that makes such a big difference.
This small pendant is about 3/4" wide and 1" long. Option to add an 18" chain. (These are Pre-order items, meaning they will be made as orders come in. Please allow 4-6 weeks from order to delivery for your item to be made and shipped)
